Building Sovereign AI
The panel framed sovereign AI as enterprise and national control over AI stacks, data centers, models, and supply chains rather than only model ownership. Speakers discussed the Cohere-Aleph Alpha partnership, European dependence on American capabilities, a 40,000,000 Dutch chip-design program, and enterprise patterns such as on-prem GPU stacks, model harnesses, and agnostic benchmarking to preserve optionality.
Beyond the Hospital Walls: Predictive Sensing, Clinical AI & Next-Generation Health Intelligence
Ken Fruitt and Nazib Shamont argued that healthcare’s core constraint is insufficient supply, and that predictive intelligence can stratify patients so scarce clinical resources reach the highest-risk cases first. They described HDAI’s work using real-time predictive models and record synthesis to improve care quality, reduce clinician burden, and support secure, institution-specific AI environments.
